200+ islamists protest in Hamburg, Germany

Last weekend a group of around 220 islamists of the Furkan movement marched through Hamburg in Germany, protesting for the release of Furkan Foundation leader Alparslan Kuytul, who is held prisoner in Turkey (so what better place to protest than Hamburg, Germany?). Police were expecting only 80 protesters, but almost three times as many showed up.

The Furkan movement wants to implement sharia law and establish a global Caliphate. Speakers at the protest distanced themselves and the movement from ISIS and the use of violence. But the Furkan movement is known as a salafist movement, and women – all in headscarves – had to march behind the men. The Furkan movement may be peaceful, but that does not make their presence in Germany and Europe good news by a long shot.
