Labour MP wants to ‘ban’ Tommy Robinson from Parliament, Speaker regrets that he can’t

Labour MP John MacDonnell has asked for Tommy Robinson to be ‘banned’ from Parliament, after Robinson joined UKIP leader Gerard Batten and Lord Pearson for lunch in the House of Lords. As if it is not bad enough that the establishment is now trying to resort to bans to prevent their ideology from being challenged, Speaker John Bercow, whom one might expect to show some restraint or semblance of neutrality, wholeheartedly agreed with MacDonnell’s characterization of Robinson as a ‘thug’ and a ‘racist’, adding he thinks he is “a loathsome, obnoxious, repellent individual”.
