The Hague stabbing: three injured, Muslim attacker ‘deranged’ and ‘known to police’

Update July 16 2018:

Who could have seen this coming? The attacker, named only as Malek F. is being charged with attempted murder with terrorist intent. Could it be that this poor, confused man is a terrorist after all?

Oh wait, everybody saw this coming…

Three people were injured in a stabbing attack in The Hague, The Netherlands. Authorities have stated that the man is “known to police” for “deranged” behavior, but there are no indications that any other factors are involved. The attacker, appearing of North-African or Arabic descent, was shot in the leg by police and filmed shouting “Allahu Akbar” while on the ground. However, anti-terror police units were present at the scene, mainstream media reported one victim was stabbed multiple times in the neck – while eye witnesses claim on social media that the victim’s throat was cut.

Authorities in the West appear to have adopted the strategy of labeling all radical Muslims “deranged”, so that when they attack it is indeed “never terrorism“. Even if the man is actually deranged, it doesn’t matter. The man still injured three, instilled terror in society on the basis of his religion, and whether he had a grand plan, or connections to established terror groups or not, the outcome is the same – and therefore this is still terrorism.

May 5th is Liberation Day in The Netherlands, celebrating the end of World War II.

(I have blurred the alleged attacker’s face in the image, as The Netherlands have strict privacy laws to protect criminals and terrorists, and I don’t want to get in the way of legal proceedings. This way the image still shows clearly that the man is not native Dutch and has a long beard.)

Update May 6:

Confirmation that the attacker was a Syrian immigrant / “refugee” who had been granted asylum in The Netherlands. He was not know to have connections to terrorist networks, but that possibility is being investigated.
