Wind turbines kill an estimated 300,000 to 500,000 birds, annually

Scientists pointing out the negative impact wind turbines have on nature conclude that the turbines have ‘significant negative effects’ on the wellbeing of nearby residents, that they destroy habitats, and that an estimated 300,000 to 500,000 birds per year.

Dutch ecologists have issued a similar warning against the construction of solar panel parks. As the soil no longer receives adequate amounts of sunlight and rain, it withers, to the detriment of insects and birds. The disruption is so severe that it can impact their habitat for up to 15 years after the solar panels are taken down.
